Bookings

Appointments are booked for a minimum of 1 hour. Bookings are arranged for a mutually convenient time via email or phone. We are happy to reschedule a booking if needed, with at least 24 hours notice.

Project Payments

We require a deposit of 30% before work will begin on your website project. Deposits are non-refundable.
Website Designs: 30% deposit, part project payments, and the balance on completion.
Should your project take a long length of time, we may invoice for any work-to-date.
We do not charge G.S.T. and can provide you with a Tax Invoice - normally sent by email.

Hosting and Domains

We offer FREE hosting websites, and can advise you about paid hosting options. We offer FREE Domain names, and can advise you about paid domain options. We save you money by helping you deal directly with domain and hosting providers. We do NOT charge any monthly fees and we do NOT require clients to sign any type of ongoing internet contract.

Disability Access

We can accommodate learners with disabilities - we have wheelchair access. Alternatively we can visit you at your place.

Quotes and Estimates

We try our best to provide you with realistic quotes wherever we can, however, due to the wide range of design and technical possibilities, we are often able to provide an estimate only. We provide verbal quotes and estimates so please ask if you would prefer a written quote/estimate. Note: Due to the speed of technical advances, all quotes or estimates are valid for only 30 days from date of issue. Should you accept your quote/estimate, we will require a deposit to confirm your placement in our schedule.

Customer requirements

It is up to the client to provide all content in a reasonable and timely fashion and make sure it is accurate. This includes photographs and text copy required to complete any project. Failure to provide content will result in a delay in delivery of your finished project and may both reduce the quality and increase the final cost of the project. We will schedule a project approval appointment towards the completion of a project, when the client can approve the project and make further changes, and while all care is taken, we assume no liability for a client providing the incorrect content at any stage in the project process.

Security & Copyright

We consider file security and safety essential - all care is taken to keep your files private. We will keep your project files in a secure place, off the internet, until your project is complete.
We also support Copyright Law and will discuss how to protect your work.

Website Design and Social Media

Both the internet and technology are changing at a huge speed - we have no control over this. We assume no liability for changes in technology and media. We endeavor to keep up with the changes on your behalf. We have been in the industry for over 25 years and can offer our experience to help you with the latest technological advances and to future-proof your work.

Tuition and Training

Both the internet and technology are changing at a huge speed and we endeavor to keep up with the changes on your behalf and pass this knowledge and experience on to you. The information we are sharing is often complicated and we cover a LOT in one hour. For you to get the best from our time we expect you to take notes, practice and/or use other techniques to recall the items we have discussed; you are unlikely to recall all the technical learning without these techniques. We will provide some handouts to aid with some learning. We are happy to repeat consultation sessions if necessary and to take things at a pace that suits you.

Health and Safety

We consider good health and a healthy workplace essential. All care is taken to provide you with a safe environment at Joyful Pear Design, and we will discuss health & Safety around computers.
